How to play Quantum Shift
- Coloured orbs and spiked anti-matter drift in from the edges of the board. The Core sits in the middle.
- Press and drag anywhere to open a gravity well. It bends the grid and pulls everything nearby toward your pointer.
- Pull two orbs of the same colour into each other to fuse them. Orbs of different colours just bounce apart.
- Each fusion sends out a shockwave that destroys any anti-matter it reaches, and repairs the Core a little.
- Anti-matter homes in on the Core, and every hit knocks off 20% of its integrity. The game ends when the Core reaches 0%.
Quantum Shift FAQ
- How does scoring work in Quantum Shift?
- A fusion scores 10 points times your current chain. Fuse again within about two and a half seconds to grow the chain. Anti-matter destroyed by a shockwave adds 5 points each.
- What happens when anti-matter touches an orb?
- Both are destroyed and your chain resets. It costs you an orb, but it can save the Core in a pinch.
- Does the gravity well pull anti-matter too?
- Yes — it pulls everything. Use it to drag anti-matter away from the Core, or into the path of a fusion shockwave, but be careful not to pull it into your orbs.
- Does Quantum Shift get harder?
- Yes. Matter arrives faster over time, more of it is anti-matter, and a fourth orb colour joins after the first 40 seconds.
- Is Quantum Shift free to play?
- Yes. It's free in your browser on desktop or mobile — no login and no download. Your best score and longest chain are saved in your browser.
