Roll a 6 to bring your tokens out, race them round the board and get all four home before the computer does.

Ludo online
The classic race board game, played against the computer. Pick a quick head-to-head against one opponent or a full four-player game against three. Each player has four tokens waiting in their yard; roll a 6 to bring one out, race it clockwise around the board and up your coloured home column to the centre. Your wins and losses are saved in your browser. Free, no login, no download.
How to play Ludo
- You play red and go first. Roll the die on your turn.
- Roll a 6 to move a token out of your yard onto your start square.
- Move a token forward by the number rolled. If more than one token can move, tap the glowing token you want.
- Land on an opponent's token to send it back to its yard — except on start squares and star squares, which are safe.
- Rolling a 6, capturing a token, or getting a token home earns another roll. Three 6s in a row loses the turn.
- You need the exact roll to reach the centre. The first player to get all four tokens home wins.
- Optional house rule, capture or pay: if you could capture but make a different move, your farthest token on the board goes back to its yard. Turn it on or off before each game.
Ludo FAQ
- Do I need a 6 to start in Ludo?
- Yes. A token only leaves the yard on a roll of 6, and a 6 also gives you another roll.
- Which squares are safe in Ludo?
- The four coloured start squares and the four star squares. A token on one of them can't be captured.
- What is the capture or pay rule?
- An optional house rule you can switch on before a game. If a player could capture an opponent's token but chooses another move, that player's farthest token on the board is sent back to its yard. The computer players follow it too. Your choice is remembered in your browser.
- Can I play Ludo with fewer players?
- Yes. Choose 1 opponent for a quick two-player game on opposite corners, or 3 opponents for the classic four-player game.
- Is Ludo free to play?
- Yes. It's free in your browser on desktop or mobile — no login and no download.
