How to play Word Ninja
- Press Start. You get a 5×5 grid of letters and a 30-second clock.
- Drag across neighbouring letters — up, down, sideways or diagonally — to spell a word of three or more letters, then let go.
- On a valid word its tiles explode, the letters above fall down, and new letters drop in from the top.
- Every word adds bonus seconds to the clock — longer words add more.
- The game ends when the clock hits zero. Beat your best score.

- How does scoring work in Word Ninja?
- Longer words score much more: 30 points for three letters, 60 for four, 110 for five, and up from there. Each word only counts once per game.
- How do I get more time?
- Every valid word adds bonus seconds — two for a three-letter word, up to six for long ones. The clock can hold up to 40 seconds.
- Can I play without dragging?
- Yes. Tap letters one at a time, then tap the last letter again or press Enter to submit. Esc clears your selection.
- Is Word Ninja free to play?
